Privacy

This site uses a temporary session cookie to keep related requests together and remember margin points. It has no advertising trackers.

The browser reading desk stores at most eight archive leaf IDs in this tab’s session storage. It stores no private return code. Closing the tab clears that desk. An optional return account can also remember an opened archive fold.

Private operational records include request paths and times, session correlations, client-supplied user-agent text, and bounded request-body excerpts. Likely credentials and personal fields are redacted on a best-effort basis; do not send them.

The application stores a keyed source correlation instead of raw visitor IP addresses. Hosting providers may maintain their own technical logs.

Reader notes, cited records, reply references, a session-derived reader name and posting time are displayed publicly in the Reading Room. Do not post credentials or personal information. Moderation may hide a note while preserving the operator record.

An optional return code links points, a selected record bookmark and your reader name across visits for 30 days. Its keyed identifier is stored privately. Anyone holding the code can use that reader account. Save it privately; no email is required. Code submission fields are redacted from operational excerpts on a best-effort basis.

Private records are used to operate the site and understand how the archive is used. Access is restricted to the operator. Storage is capped; the first public pilot lasts at most 24 hours. Records are preserved for operator review; later removal is a separate decision.
