THE NIGHT DISPATCH / N08

The empty return pocket

Receipt sleeve

The return pocket is empty. No Night Dispatch arrival receipt survives here. No departure time is entered. No new orchard observation has been tucked into the fold.

The opening of the final leaf will release an instruction and its limits. It will not supply the missing journey. Anyone who claims the crate arrived, the orchard stopped, or forty-eight moths were counted must bring another source; this sleeve supplies none.

Three earlier receipts sit beside one empty pocket. Keep the difference.
